As a Geologist in Garpenberg, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and availability of geological data. You will work closely with operations in a modern mining environment where core logging, geological modelling, and data analysis are integral parts of daily work. The role combines hands-on tasks with digital tools such as Leapfrog and Deswik, within an organization characterized by collaboration, development, and a strong focus on safety.
Your opportunity
As a Geologist, you are responsible for collecting, analyzing, and quality-assuring geological data that forms the basis for production and long-term planning. You will work both independently and in close collaboration with colleagues in production, planning, and exploration. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions based on geoscientific data.

You will be part of the Mine Geology Garpenberg team, within the Long-Term Planning section. The team consists of engaged geologists and core shed technicians. You will collaborate regularly with production, drilling, and technical support functions.

What you will do
- Core logging and documentation in systems such as AcQuire and WellCAD
- Underground face mapping in Deswik Mapping
- Drillhole planning (infill campaigns)
- Compilation and analysis of geological data
- Contribute to geological interpretation and modelling
- Ensure data quality through QA/QC processes
- Support production and planning with up-to-date geological information
- Participate in the development of workflows and digital tools
What you bring

We are looking for someone who has:
- At least Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geoscience
- A valid driver's license (B)
- Proficiency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken
It is considered an advantage if you have:
- Experience in the mining industry, exploration, or tunnelling
- Hands-on experience in core logging and mine mapping
- Experience in drillhole planning, geological modelling and interpretation
- Knowledge of QAQC and geometallurgy
- Experience with tools such as Deswik, Leapfrog, WellCAD, and AcQuire
