The department drives enterprise-wide adoption of Generative AI and AI-assisted engineering practices across software development and digital engineering domains. The team focuses on building scalable AI platforms, developer productivity solutions, and agentic workflows that enhance software delivery, engineering efficiency, and knowledge accessibility.
The organization works with modern AI technologies including GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Azure OpenAI, and MCP-based integrations connecting engineering tools such as Jira, Jama, and GitHub. The department combines platform engineering, AI architecture, governance, and developer enablement to operationalize secure and scalable AI solutions across global engineering teams.
Key focus areas include coding agents, multi-agent systems, prompt engineering, AI governance, workflow automation, and cloud-based AI platform deployment.
Requirements
Role Overview
The Embedded Gen AI Developer is a mid-senior software engineer who works directly inside
of engineering team. The primary focus is hands-on delivery: building, integrating, and validating
AI-assisted development capabilities within existing workflows. This is not a standalone AI project role
- the developer becomes part of the client team, contributing within their processes, tools, and
quality standards.
• Solid software engineering background with strong fundamentals in at least one primary
language used in the target environment
• Practical Gen AI integration experience: using Azure OpenAI, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent tools
in a real delivery context
• Understanding of agentic concepts: tool calling, prompt construction, context management,
structured output handling
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and version control workflows (GitHub)
• Ability to work independently within a client team with minimal hand-holding
Preferred Background:
• Experience integrating AI into software development workflows rather than building standalone
AI products
• Exposure to Jira or Jama in a requirements or test management context, ideally in an
ASPICE-governed environment
• Basic awareness of ISO 26262 or functional safety concepts - understanding that AI-generated
code may feed into safety-relevant systems with traceability obligations
• Familiarity with automotive or safety-critical software development environments
• Experience with MCP or equivalent tool-use/function-calling integration patterns
Job responsibilities
• Develop and integrate Gen AI tooling within the client's existing development environment and
V-cycle workflows
• Build and maintain coding agent pipelines using GitHub Copilot and Claude Code
• Implement and extend MCP server integrations connecting AI agents to Jira, Jama, GitHub, and
other internal systems
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines that incorporate AI-assisted code generation and validation steps
• Work alongside client engineers as a peer contributor - not as an external consultant
• Support verification and validation activities where AI-generated outputs require human review
and structured testing
