Husqvarna Group is developing an enterprise design system to unify its brands, products, and digital platforms worldwide, supporting a diverse range of digital services for both consumers and professionals.
Meanwhile, AI-driven design and development processes are quickly gaining traction. We anticipate that designers and developers will increasingly rely on AI tools to create concepts, prototypes, interfaces, and code. Therefore, our design system must be built to accommodate and enhance this evolving workflow.
This thesis investigates how Husqvarna's enterprise design system can be organized and made accessible so that AI tools can effectively interpret and utilize its content, working alongside our designers and developers.
Thesis assignment
The goal of this thesis is to examine how designers and developers can leverage AI with Husqvarna's enterprise design system to speed up ideation, prototyping, and product development.
The thesis should explore how to structure, document, and present the design system so AI tools can interpret and apply its content effectively, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and proper governance.
The work will be conducted in collaboration with Husqvarna's Design System team and digital product teams.
The work includes
Expected outcomes
The expected outcome of the thesis is a set of insights, concepts, and recommendations describing how Husqvarna can enable designers and developers to effectively use AI together with the enterprise design system.
Expected deliverables may include:
