Assignment Overview

We are looking for a senior consultant with strong experience in platform engineering, Kubernetes operations, Linux environments, and backend automation development. The consultant will work in a Software Operations organization focused on building scalable tooling, infrastructure automation, and operational platforms supporting large-scale global systems. The role combines software engineering, DevOps, infrastructure engineering, and operational platform ownership.

A significant part of the assignment involves operating and developing large-scale Kubernetes environments running primarily on self-managed and on-prem infrastructure.

Required Competence

Must Have

• Strong experience operating and maintaining large-scale Kubernetes platforms in selfmanaged or on-prem environments

• Several years of hands-on Linux experience in both development and operational environments

• Strong Python development skills with experience building automation, backend services, tooling, and APIs

• Experience with GitOps methodologies and tools such as Argo CD

• Experience with AWS and hybrid cloud environments

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Linux environments

• Strong understanding of infrastructure automation, container platforms, and distributed systems

• Experience with Docker and containerized workloads

• Experience designing scalable operational tooling and automation workflows

• Experience with backend frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django

• Ability to work across both development and operational/infrastructure domains

• Experience with automated testing and test strategies

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Structured and methodical way of working

• Ability to contribute to technical discussions, architecture, and long-term platform scalability

Nice to Have

• Experience with blue/green deployment strategies

• Experience from large-scale operational or platform environments

• Experience mentoring or coaching engineers

• Scrum Master or agile coordination experience

• Experience with provisioning physical infrastructure and network-connected environments
