Assignment Description
We are currently looking for an experienced Cost Engineer
What You Will Work On
Lead Cost and Value Engineering initiatives to improve competitiveness and profitability
Build cost and value transparency across products, solutions, and third-party scopes
Perform should-cost analyses and evaluate supplier quotations
Support target setting and Design-to-Cost activities
Drive cost optimization and cost-out initiatives across the portfolio
Coordinate cross-functional workshops and efficiency improvement activities
Track CVE measures in cost management tools and support proposal teams
Communicate cost-saving recommendations and insights to stakeholders and leadership
Collaborate with suppliers, sourcing teams, and engineering functions
Support procurement and operational excellence initiatives
What You Bring
Degree in Engineering, preferably Master's degree in Engineering
Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience within Cost Engineering or related areas
Strong expertise in should-costing methodologies and cost optimization activities
Experience with tools such as TcPCM, aPriori, MLPP, CBD, and preferably NX
Strong analytical capability and understanding of cost drivers
Experience working with suppliers, sourcing processes, and negotiation activities
Knowledge of heavy industrial manufacturing including machining, forging, casting, fabrication, and electronics is an advantage
Experience in project management and cross-functional coordination
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills
Ability to work independently and drive initiatives forward
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills in international environments
Willingness to travel nationally and internationally
Fluent communication skills in both Swedish and English
