About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Embedded Android (AOSP) Developer to contribute to the development of next-generation infotainment systems. As the automotive industry evolves with increasing competition from technology-driven organizations, the client is focused on delivering connected, intelligent, and continuously improving vehicle experiences.

Role Overview

The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing the native layers of the Android Automotive (AOSP) stack within infotainment systems. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional internal teams, external partners, and key stakeholders to design and deliver integrated, high-performance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain embedded software components within the Android Automotive platform

Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and detailed documentation

Engage in full lifecycle development activities including implementation, testing, validation, and optimization

Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless system integration

Participate in defining end-to-end technical solutions aligned with business and user requirements

Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, tools, and best practices within embedded and automotive domains

Required Experience & Qualifications

Master's degree in Software Engineering or a related discipline, or a minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience

Proven experience working on automotive software development projects

Strong hands-on expertise in Embedded Android (AOSP) development

Proficiency in C++ and Python (mandatory)

Experience with version control systems, particularly Git

Solid understanding of Android application and service frameworks

Exposure to scripting (Shell or similar)

Preferred Skills

Experience with Java and Kotlin

Knowledge of graphics-intensive applications using OpenGL ES

Additional Requirements

A valid Swedish B driving license is considered an advantage

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Ability to work effectively in an Agile team environment
