About the Role
You will play a central role in shaping how BI and reporting needs are captured, structured, and prioritized in a large D365 transformation within an industrial environment. The focus is on connecting business needs with clear BI direction across areas such as Sales, Service, Order to Delivery, and Finance & Procurement.
In this role, you will be the main point of contact for BI and reporting within the D365 work streams. You will work closely with business stakeholders, stream leads, architects, and IT to turn complex needs into a clear and actionable backlog. The assignment covers traditional reporting, self-service BI, and conversational analytics, with emphasis on demand intake, requirements shaping, prioritization, and initial solution direction rather than hands-on development.

Job DescriptionYou will own the BI demand perspective across the D365 work streams.
You will establish a consistent way of working for identifying, understanding, shaping, and prioritizing BI and reporting needs.
You will act as the main BI contact for stream leads and key business stakeholders.
You will lead workshops and structured discussions to uncover current, emerging, and overlooked BI requirements.
You will translate business needs into clear, structured BI requirements that can be assessed and prioritized.
You will own and maintain a consolidated BI backlog, including priorities and initial solution direction.
You will assess where BI needs are best solved across D365, Microsoft analytics solutions, or other relevant platforms.
You will collaborate with domain leads, product owners, architects, and IT experts to validate solution direction and dependencies.
You will challenge assumptions constructively and help stakeholders choose suitable BI and reporting approaches.
You will prepare prioritized requirements for handover to detailed design and implementation.
You will help establish structure, documentation, and ways of working for transition to a permanent domain lead setup.
RequirementsM.Sc. or equivalent relevant academic background.
Strong experience in Business Intelligence, reporting, and analytics.
Experience working with BI demand management, requirements, prioritization, and backlog development.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Good understanding of the Microsoft data and analytics ecosystem, including Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
Good understanding of enterprise IT and solution landscapes.
Ability to translate business needs into structured BI requirements and practical solution recommendations.
Ability to navigate technical alternatives credibly without being a hands-on developer.
Experience working across business processes, architecture, and IT stakeholders.
Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to lead workshops and structured discussions.
Fluent English.
Nice to haveExperience with D365 in a major transformation or implementation programme.
Experience working with stakeholders at different levels of BI maturity.
Experience shaping BI solutions across multiple business areas in a complex enterprise environment.
