A Snapshot of Your Day

Join us as a Commodity Manager, where you will be the driving force behind the procurement strategy for your designated commodity area. You will ensure a well-functioning supplier base, delivering quality and timely results. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize supplier performance and drive cost improvements by strategically managing supplier relationships. Your role will involve analyzing risks in the supply chain, including geopolitical and financial factors, while leveraging market analysis support to inform your strategies. You will engage with suppliers, gather insights, and lead negotiations to establish favorable business terms.

How You'll Make an Impact

Lead the development and execution of procurement strategies for packaging materials across various production areas.

Collaborate with internal customers and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on procurement objectives.

Analyze purchasing data to assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement.

Drive negotiations for pricing and other business terms, fostering strong relationships with suppliers.

Manage risks within the supply chain, ensuring a robust supplier base for volume requirements.

Work to increase capacity in our supply for future growth

What You Bring

A degree in Engineering or Finance or a related field.

A strong interest in technology and procurement, with a willingness to learn about products over time.

Fluent English skills, proficiency in Swedish is meritorious.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly PowerPoint and Excel for presentations and data analysis.

A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

About the Team

You will be part of a dynamic and supportive team of Commodity Managers dedicated to procurement for mechanical and electrical systems related to gas turbines. Our team thrives on collaboration, sharing knowledge, and helping each other succeed. We work closely with internal customers and various functions to ensure that we have the right materials and suppliers to meet our production needs. As a Commodity Manager, you will play a key role in fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation, where every member's input is valued. Together, we tackle challenges and drive improvements, making a significant impact on our operations and the overall success of Siemens Energy.

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
