Clearwater is expanding in Stockholm

Clearwater is a leading global corporate finance house with 20 offices around the world. We are expanding rapidly and are seeking experienced talent to join our team in Stockholm as an Associate. The anticipated start date is August 2026; however, an earlier or later start can be discussed depending on your availability.

Clearwater is an innovative adviser in corporate transactions with a focus on sell-side assignments. Our clients primarily consist of entrepreneurs and family-owned companies, but also large Nordic companies, private equity companies and investment companies.

At Clearwater, you will take ownership of workstreams on live buy- and sell-side mandates from day one and interact with business owners, senior executives at large investment firms, listed companies and private equity companies on a regular basis. We prioritize work-life balance and offer flexibility to all our employees, as we recognize the importance of managing time effectively for overall success. As an Associate at Clearwater, you will be working in a developing environment with endless opportunities to step into a project leadership trajectory.

About the role

As an Associate, you will own workstreams within transaction projects and work with significantly greater independence than at the Analyst level. Your primary tasks and responsibilities will depend on qualifications and previous working experience, but you will be part of a dedicated team that offers exceptional opportunities for career acceleration:
  • Independent ownership of key deliverables - teasers, IMs, databooks, financial forecast models and management presentations - with high-level guidance from senior colleagues
  • Responsibility for quality assurance across project material and for managing buyer contacts ahead of indicative bids
  • Mentoring and developing analysts and interns, with primary responsibility for their wellbeing and growth
  • Direct exposure to high-profile transactions and close collaboration with Directors and Partners
  • A professional environment that is informal with a flat hierarchy
  • A dynamic workday alongside ambitious, skilled colleagues
  • Continuous education through Clearwater's international education programmes
  • Development opportunities - we aim to develop all our colleagues towards the next career step at all times, with a clear path toward Associate Director
  • A vibrant atmosphere where we have fun and celebrate our milestones
  • A warm and welcoming team culture where genuine relations and good times are part of the daily routine

Your profile
  • You have 2-4 years of relevant working experience within corporate finance, investment banking, strategy consulting or a similar role
  • Strong technical foundation - you have full command of valuation methodologies and can build a financial forecast model with your own assumptions
  • Proven ability to work independently - you can take ownership of problems and present solutions rather than just framing the issue
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail - given that we help our clients navigate their most critical strategic decisions, our Associates must possess an exceptionally high standard in everything they produce
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop more junior team members
  • Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset - we value colleagues who are dedicated, easy to work with and have a positive outlook
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to both internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
