Role Summary
A skilled and hands-on Prototype Vehicle Technician to support the development of next-generation vehicles within the TRATON Group. In this role, you will work closely with engineering and test teams to update prototype vehicles and build high-quality electrical harnesses.
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.

Role Summary
A skilled and hands-on Prototype Vehicle Technician to support the development of next-generation vehicles within the TRATON Group. In this role, you will work closely with engineering and test teams to update prototype vehicles and build high-quality electrical harnesses.
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden.
Your Responsibilities
- Update software and modify prototype vehicles based on development needs and technical requirements
- Build, install, and route electrical harnesses with high precision and quality
- Perform troubleshooting and fault tracing in electrical systems in vehicle
- Interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Ensure proper documentation of all modifications and installations
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and test teams
Requirements
- Upper secondary education within electrical, automotive, or automation, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Post-secondary education (YH or university) within electrical or automotive engineering is considered a merit
- Experience working with vehicle electrical systems and cabling
- Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams
- Experience working in a workshop or lab environment
- Good computer skills and experience working with Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc.
- Good communication skills in English

Meritorious Experience
- Experience working with prototype or test vehicles
- Experience using Jira for task management, issue tracking, and project collaboration
- Experience in harness manufacturing, soldering, or electrical assembly
- Familiarity with working in a development/test environment
- Knowledge of CAN, LIN, or vehicle communication systems
