What you'll do

Right now, we are looking for a Utilities & Infrastructure Technical Lead for our Utilities Operations . This is a senior technical specialist role, without people management responsibility.

In this role, you will be a technical authority for our LNG facilities and other assigned utility systems. You will apply your technical expertise to help keep these systems safe, reliable and compliant, while supporting Operations in solving problems and improving performance.

You will work closely with Operations and coordinate technical matters with external utility providers, OEMs, contractors and inspection bodies. It is a role with plenty of technical responsibility and the opportunity to influence how our utility systems are operated and developed.

Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well.
  • Apply your expertise as technical authority for LNG facilities and assigned utility systems.
  • Guide Operations on technical matters and solve complex equipment and operational issues.
  • Coordinate maintenance, inspections, certifications and statutory compliance activities.
  • Assess system performance, technical risks and opportunities to improve safety, reliability and efficiency.
  • Coordinate technical activities with utility providers, OEMs, contractors and inspection bodies.
  • Develop and improve technical standards, procedures and maintenance strategies.
  • Assess proposed modifications and ensure engineering changes meet relevant standards and operational needs.
  • Support commissioning, start-ups, shutdowns and major maintenance activities.
  • Guide and mentor colleagues by sharing technical knowledge and good practices.
What you'll bring

You're curious and believe that real progress happens when we work together. You're not afraid to challenge old ways of thinking - and you treat others with respect while doing it. At Stegra, we value people who take initiative, build trust, and help create a workplace where everyone can do their best.

Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below
  • Degree or technical diploma in mechanical, electrical, process, energy engineering or a related field.
  • Solid experience from industrial utilities, energy systems, LNG or gas systems, process plants or heavy industry.
  • Relevant knowledge of LNG and gas systems, pressure equipment, equipment integrity, ATEX, process safety or industrial risk management.
  • Ability to assess technical solutions, solve complex problems and provide sound technical recommendations.
  • Experience coordinating contractors, service providers and other external technical partners.
  • Ability to work independently and guide and influence others without formal authority.
  • A collaborative and approachable way of working, with safety at the centre of your decisions.
  • Experience with SCADA, DCS, BPCS or safety systems, or relevant LNG, gas, pressure equipment or process safety certifications, is an advantage.

You'll receive fair, competitive compensation aligned with collective agreements, along with benefits like up to 30 days of paid vacation, occupational pension, parental benefits, and insurance.
