Description

We are looking for an experienced Transition & Maintenance Manager to lead the transition of maintenance responsibilities from our client to the supplier and establish sustainable maintenance and lifecycle management processes for the old & new platforms.

The role covers two key areas: ensuring stable ongoing maintenance of the existing SPA3 platform while establishing maintenance readiness and processes for the new platform as it progresses through development and delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive embedded software development, software maintenance, transition management, and release processes, along with the ability to coordinate cross-functional engineering teams and ensure long-term operational readiness.

Requirements

• Proven experience in transition management, software maintenance management, service delivery, or technical project management within the automotive or embedded software domain.
• Good understanding of automotive embedded software development, software integration, testing, and release management.
• Experience planning and executing knowledge transfer, team onboarding, maintenance handovers, and operational readiness assessments.
• Understanding of defect management, incident management, backlog prioritization, root-cause analysis, and software lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows, software configuration management, version control, and release processes.
• Experience establishing maintenance governance, KPIs, operating procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills, with the ability to work across development, maintenance, DevOps, testing, and customer teams.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Git, Jenkins, or equivalent platforms is an advantage.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR, Automotive SPICE (ASPICE), and ISO 26262 is a plus.

Job responsibilities

• Lead the structured transition of maintenance responsibilities from client to the supplier for the old platform and plan maintenance readiness for Snew Platform.
• Plan and coordinate knowledge transfer, technical onboarding, competence development, and handover activities across engineering teams.
  
  Establish maintenance governance, operating procedures, roles, responsibilities, and support processes.
• Define and coordinate incident management, defect triage, backlog management, root-cause analysis, software release management, and lifecycle management activities.
• Ensure maintenance teams have the required technical documentation, tool access, software repositories, development environments, and platform knowledge.
• Coordinate with development, integration, testing, DevOps, and release management teams to ensure smooth handover and effective maintenance operations.
• Track transition readiness, documentation completeness, backlog transfer, open issues, risks, dependencies, and agreed exit criteria.
• Establish and monitor maintenance KPIs, including defect resolution, backlog health, response and resolution times, release quality, and operational stability.
• Drive continuous improvement in maintenance efficiency, knowledge retention, support processes, and delivery quality.
• Ensure a smooth transition from development to maintenance ownership while protecting ongoing support commitments for old platform and preparing for new platform.
