About the Role
You will take on a key role in the development of software-driven vehicle functions in a complex automotive environment. The work sits at the intersection of system design, software function development, and cross-functional collaboration, where clear requirements, robust interfaces, and a well-structured architecture are essential to getting the whole vehicle system to work together.
You will be involved across the development flow, from early concept discussions to implementation, integration, and validation. This means you get to influence how functions are defined and realized in practice, while working closely with teams across software, hardware, verification, and product. It is an exciting opportunity for you who enjoy combining technical depth with broad system understanding in a domain where complexity is part of the challenge.
Job DescriptionYou design system-level solutions for automotive functions and make sure they align with product and platform requirements.
You drive and support software function development from concept definition through implementation and validation.
You define system requirements, interfaces, and architecture for functions that span several parts of the vehicle.
You work closely with software, hardware, verification, and product stakeholders to create alignment and move development forward.
You secure traceability and consistency across system requirements and design.
You support integration and troubleshooting activities when functions are brought together across vehicle systems.
RequirementsExperience working as a System Designer.
Experience in software function development.
Knowledge of software function development within complex vehicle systems.
Driving licence B.
Ability to complete a basic background check, including verification of identity, education, employment history, and citizenship.
Nice to haveHands-on experience with CarWeaver or similar system engineering tools.
Good understanding of automotive system architecture, signals, and interfaces.
Experience from a complex stakeholder environment where coordination and alignment are important.
Experience from development processes and tool ecosystems in a large automotive organization.
Knowledge of functional safety such as ISO 26262 and/or cybersecurity.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies in automotive.
Experience testing and validating functions on vehicle.
Experience working with legal or compliance-related functions, safety-related systems, or exterior lighting systems.
