Sustainability Manager Product Compliance

Join us at Karo Healthcare on our exciting journey. We're currently looking for a Sustainability Manager Product Compliance for our office in Stockholm.

Role Overview: The Sustainability Compliance Manager will ensure that all products, including finished goods, ingredients, and packaging, meet sustainability compliance and regulatory requirements. The role involves developing processes and strategies to adhere to national and international legislation, aligning with stakeholder expectations, and driving the product-related sustainability agenda.

Your tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with sustainability standards and regulations for all products, including cosmetics, food supplements, medical devices and pharmaceuticals
• Lead European Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reporting
• Ensure proactive processes to meet coming sustainability requirements under chemical legislations (e.g. REACH, CA Proposition 65)
• Support the development of a green chemical strategy, establishing Karo's chemical footprint and targets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into product design, development, and production processes, considering e.g. the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products framework
• Stay up-to-date with evolving sustainability standards and regulations and ensure compliance across all product lines, including the Green Claims Directive, the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and national labelling legislation
• Prepare reports and communicate sustainability performance internally and externally, answer customer specific requests

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field
• Approx. 10 years of experience in product compliance and sustainability, preferably in the healthcare or consumer goods industry
• Strong knowledge of sustainability standards and regulation, including REACH
• Experience in managing sustainability projects and implementing sustainable practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives
• Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
