Beskrivning

Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer

Do you want to work in a global company where you can contribute to a more sustainable food production? DeLaval is a leading developer, manufacturer, and supplier of solutions for dairy farmers around the world. As a company built on innovation, we constantly work to find ways of helping our customers do more with less.

We are now looking for a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer with focus on securing that quality will be right from start in product projects and product changes.

Role and responsibilities
As Supplier Quality Assurance, you will be responsible for supplier qualification, supplier performance management, quality improvement, and preventive quality activities. In close collaboration with Sourcing, Product Management and Development, and other Supply Chain functions, you will support supplier part approvals, new product introductions, and product changes.

The role focuses on ensuring that quality tools, methods, and robust control plans are effectively implemented at suppliers to prevent quality issues and mitigate risks. You will work across DeLaval sites to ensure that production receives high-quality, robust designs and that suppliers are prepared from Start of Production (SOP).

Key responsibilities:
• Ensure quality risks are addressed early in the product development process through the effective application of quality tools and methods across new projects, PCAs, and other development initiatives.
• Establish and execute plans to secure supplier readiness for SOP, with focus on Prevention, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, Flow Charts, SPC, and PDCA.
• Investigate supplier quality issues, analyse data, and lead Root Cause Analysis to identify sustainable corrective actions.
• Conduct process audits and follow up on audit findings based on project needs, audit plans, or specific requests.
• Drive a continuous improvement and lessons learned culture, contributing to the ongoing development of the Quality Management System.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role we believe that you have:
• Engineering degree (BSc, MSc or equivalent).
• Deep knowledge of Quality methods and tools, such as D/PFMEA, Control Plans, 8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why, A3 and CAPA.
• Expertise in component manufacturing processes.
• Solid knowledge of statistical methods, analysis and quality tools.
• Strong engineering and analytical skills, with an interest in understanding technical details and failure modes.
• Proven experience in Quality Engineering and/or Supplier Quality roles.
• Experience from technical roles within manufacturing industries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification is considered an advantage.

You are a strong communicator who can effectively collaborate with stakeholders across different functions and locations. You work with a high degree of accuracy, initiative and independence, and are comfortable representing Supplier Quality in cross-functional teams and decision-making forums.

You enjoy working in an international environment and bring a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving and risk mitigation. With a collaborative mindset and a continuous improvement focus, you help drive quality excellence while delivering results within agreed timelines.

Working at DeLaval
Our core values Passion, People, Professionals and Partnerships connect individuals across entities and geographies. Success is far more than knowledge - it is strongly related to behaviour. At DeLaval we are all guided by our three behaviours: Set Direction, Make Things Happen and One DeLaval.

We offer you a workplace like no other, where state-of-the-art technology goes hand in hand with animal welfare. DeLaval is a part of the Tetra Laval Group together with Tetra Pak and Sidel. In addition, we offer:
• Secure employment and benefits from the collective agreement (occupational pension, work-related accident insurance).
• Parental leave compensation (approx. 10 percent of the employee's monthly salary).
• Wellness allowance of SEK 4 000/year.
• Private healthcare insurance.
• Flexible working hours and reduced working hours.
• 30 days paid annual leave.

Additional information
