Beskrivning

We are now looking for a Senior Manager, Owner's Scope to lead the planning and implementation of the owner's scope of Fortum’s new nuclear project including its definition and contractual arrangements. Your role will cover critical interfaces with technology vendors and other key internal and external stakeholders.

About the role

With more than 40 years of experience as a nuclear operator and co-owner of several Nordic nuclear power plants, Fortum is developing new nuclear to meet growing industrial demand in Sweden and Finland.

In this role, you will lead the definition of the owner’s scope, including owner infrastructure, responsibilities, project requirements, key milestones and related contractual arrangements. You will be part of the Project Management team within our New Nuclear business line. The team is responsible for project management activities, project controls, vendor contracts, preparation of the owner’s scope and Bidding Invitation Specification (BIS), and development of the project company (SPV), including its integrated management system. You will also be the internal counterpart to our Investment team and Engineering & Site team for your scope of responsibilities. You will support the Director, Strategic Partnerships and our Public Affairs team for interactions with local stakeholders such as municipalities and authorities.

This role will be based in Solna, Sweden and requires regular cooperation across Sweden and Finland, as well as with vendors and partners internationally. Regular travel between Sweden and Finland, approximately once a month, is to be expected.

Your main focus areas will be to:

  • Define and manage the complete Owner's Scope, including clear scope boundaries, responsibilities, deliverables and interfaces between plant vendors and other delivery parties.
  • Develop execution plans, schedules, budgets, risk registers and governance arrangements for the Owner's Scope, and provide transparent reporting to project leadership.
  • Establish and maintain effective interface management across physical, technical, organisational, contractual and schedule interfaces.
  • Act as the owner's primary counterpart for Owner's Scope and infrastructure matters with plant vendors, infrastructure contractors, consultants and utility providers.
  • Ensure that requirements for owner-provided services, site access, infrastructure and construction logistics are well identified, agreed and delivered according to the project schedule.
  • Lead the planning of owner infrastructure and enabling works, such as access and transport arrangements, utilities, water and wastewater systems, electricity supply, communications, construction logistics areas, site offices and other supporting facilities.
  • Lead multidisciplinary internal teams and external partners, resolve cross-functional interface issues and support timely project decisions.
  • Promote a strong safety, quality and sustainability culture throughout planning and delivery.

About you

  • Experience cooperating with external stakeholders such as utility providers, consultants, contractors and technology vendors.
  • The ability to understand and coordinate multidisciplinary technical, commercial and stakeholder requirements.
  • Experience in nuclear power, another highly regulated industry or major site development is considered a strong advantage.
  • A strong safety mindset and a systematic approach to quality, risk and decision-making.
  • Fluent English language skills are required. Swedish language skills are seen as an advantage.

On a personal level, you take ownership and turn complex, cross-organisational topics into clear plans and decisions. You work proactively and systematically, communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and remain resilient in demanding situations.
