What You'll Do

For our Stockholm office, we are looking for Senior AI Tech Architects to help our clients on national and international projects! (Senior) AI Tech Architects are part of our consulting teams who focus for instance on tech-oriented analyses, review & specification of IT systems or architectures, technical solution design, process improvement and target architecture definitions.

Together with colleagues from BCG Platinion and/or the Boston Consulting Group, you will develop superior IT strategies, concepts, and solutions actively and on site, applying your technical know-how combined with your analytical and conceptual skillset. Based on your IT project experience, you are able to provide content guidance to and coordinate smaller teams.

What You'll Bring

You can help us make a difference if you

• Have approx. four years of relevant experience in software development, data/AI engineering, cloud/platform engineering, solution architecture, or IT consulting, including responsibility for technical workstreams or smaller teams

• Have a degree in computer science, software engineering, data science, informatics, engineering, or another technology-intensive field including business degrees majoring in any of the mentioned topics or with relevant industry experience

• Bring hands-on software development or engineering experience and are comfortable reviewing code, APIs, data, technical designs, and modern development environments

• Have a strong understanding of modern software and cloud architecture concepts, such as APIs and microservices, containerization, cloud-native development, data architectures, distributed systems, CI/CD, and DevOps

• Have hands-on experience with AI, machine learning, or GenAI solutions and understand how to design LLM-based applications; experience with areas such as RAG, AI agents, model integration, MLOps/LLMOps, or AI evaluation is an advantage

• Have experience developing technical designs, facilitating architecture decisions, and communicating trade-offs across scalability, resilience, security, maintainability, cost, and delivery feasibility

• Have broad technical expertise and a strong interest in emerging technology trends across AI, cloud, data, software, and digital platforms

• Have experience guiding engineers or junior architects and maintaining quality across technical deliverables

• Combine technical depth with strong communication skills and can explain complex architecture decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Feel particularly comfortable in interdisciplinary teams and global contexts and are willing to travel

• Are excellent at understanding and communicating complex topics in English

Who You'll Work With

Shape the world of tomorrow

• Lead architecture and technical solutioning modules, assess existing technology landscapes, and take ownership of scalable target, solution, and platform architectures across applications, data, cloud, integration, and AI

• Design and guide the implementation of modern AI and GenAI solutions, including LLM- and agent-based applications, retrieval and knowledge architectures, model and tool integration, and the data and platform components required to operate them at scale

• Translate business and functional requirements into technical designs, facilitate architecture decisions, and evaluate trade-offs across performance, scalability, resilience, security, maintainability, cost, and vendor choices

• Lead prototypes, proofs of concept, and technical assessments to test feasibility, evaluate technologies, and de-risk critical architecture and implementation decisions

• Define the engineering practices and platform capabilities required to move AI solutions from experimentation to production, including APIs, CI/CD, DevOps, MLOps/LLMOps, observability, testing, and lifecycle management

• Embed security and responsible AI into solution design, coordinate smaller technical teams, and provide content guidance and coaching to engineers and junior architects

Who you'll work with

You will work as part of interdisciplinary BCG and BCG Platinion teams combining business, industry, technology, data, and AI expertise. As a Senior AI Tech Architect, you will take ownership of architecture modules, coordinate smaller technical teams, and act as a trusted technical counterpart for client architects, engineering leads, and technology leaders. Depending on the project, you may design an enterprise AI platform, lead the architecture of an agentic solution, guide the development of a GenAI application, modernize a legacy technology landscape, define a cloud and data architecture, or provide the technical backbone for a large-scale digital transformation.
