YOUR MISSION AT VOI
As a Senior Fleet Operations Manager you will be accountable for the fleet management, and lead the in-field and warehouse operations teams ensuring maintenance, repairs, availability, and orderliness of the vehicle fleet in the region. In this role you will collaborate closely with both local and central stakeholders to ensure maximisation of fleet utility at the lowest cost, and contribute directly to the operational excellence and success of our operations in the region. This includes providing a great rider experience.

Key responsibilities:
Workforce Management:
  • Lead the team day to day, through a set of managers responsible for locations across Norway.
  • Implement and monitor Workforce Management (WFM) practices to ensure flexibility, accurate staffing.
  • Ensure managers are trained and compliant with the daily Workforce.com usage and follow our internal guidelines
  • Ensure we balance coverage, cost, and service levels across markets
3PL Management:
  • Support the full 3PL lifecycle, involved from sourcing and selection, through onboarding and steady-state management, to offboarding. Meaning:
    • Overseeing the day to day management and continuous performance tracking of the third-party logistics provider (3PLs). This includes quality and issue resolution with third-party providers.
    • Act as a point of contact and work continuously to build long term relationships with 3PLs and other external stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular site visits.
Fleet & Asset Management:
  • Management of our vans: fleet sizing, utilisation, maintenance, and compliance for the operational vehicle fleet.
  • Responsible for spare part management: inventory levels, ordering, and availability to avoid task and repair delays.
  • Responsible for battery management: inventory, health, rotation, 3PL accountability, and safe handling/storage.
People Leadership:
  • Lead, engage and develop your team, conduct performance reviews, training, and career progression planning, promote internal development opportunities, and maintain high performance and positive workplace culture. This includes partnering with People/TA functions on workforce planning.
  • Oversee recruitment and collaborate with Talent Acquisition and HRBPS to attract and retain top talent. Ensure the team is resourced and ramped in line with demand.
  • Collaborate with Operations Strategy (OS), Market Development (MD), and other cross-functional leaders to achieve shared city-level goals.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Monitor key operational and fleet KPIs, drive process improvements and new initiative rollouts to optimise efficiency, uptime, and cost in the fleet and warehouse operations.
Facility & Warehouse Management:
  • Oversee all site operations, including contractual agreements, lease negotiations, and moving in/out.
  • Own day-to-day warehouse management, including relationships with warehouse-adjacent stakeholders (e.g. cleaning contractors, waste management providers, landlords), ensuring facilities run safely, efficiently, and to Voi's operational and service level standards.
  • Ensure proper infrastructure and adherence to facility operations processes for waste management, recycling, and operational checklists for warehouses and vans.
  • Conduct risk assessments, lead, and ensure compliance with health & safety-, incident-, and fire procedures. Foster a proactive safety culture across both warehouse and field operations.
Financial & Operational Planning:
  • Collaborate on budgeting and oversee budget control.
  • Ensure cost efficiency in your region.
  • Lead annual and monthly workforce and operations forecasting in collaboration with the central Operations team.
  • Lead vehicle allocation and balance workload across markets to optimise fleet performance.
  • Own and provide input to planning cycles (e.g. Budget Updates/Forecasts) for warehouse, fleet, and 3PL costs.
WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK
  • Bachelor in engineering, business, or equivalent on-the-job training (e.g. corporate education program).
  • Professional fluency in Norway and English, both written and spoken.
  • [+5 years] of experience in operations, logistics, production, consulting or similar.
  • Experience managing a large team of people.
  • Experience from managing and being accountable for a budget.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with other teams to achieve your own goals.
  • Experience using AI in a role-specific context, with a focus on continuously improving output quality.
