Your role
As a Senior Data Engineer with a Snowflake focus, you will be building scalable and secure data platforms. You will leverage your expertise in Snowflake and other platforms like Azure and/or AWS to design, develop, and implement data platforms, data warehouses, data lakehouses, and AI/ML platforms that fuel our data-driven operations. You will also be collaborating closely with colleagues and contribute to a supportive and inclusive Snowflake community, where knowledge sharing and continuous learning are encouraged.

In this role you will play a key part in:

• Develop and maintain secure data warehouses and data lakehouses, ensuring trusted and high-quality data for decision making
• Implement data models, data quality checks and governance practices to ensure reliable and accurate data
• Build and deploy AI/ML models, integrate Machine Learning into data pipelines, leverage Snowflake Snowpark, Cortex and Marketplace to develop models and drive business insights
• Design and build high-performance data pipelines - utilize Snowflake, Python, and Apache Spark
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams - working in an open, respectful environment with business analysts, data scientists, and DevOps engineers
• Stay ahead of the curve by continuously learning and adapting to the evolving landscape of big data technologies and best practices

• Experience with Snowflake, Apache Spark, data pipeline development and familiarity with data warehousing concepts and practices
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform and tools like DBT or a strong willingness to learn these technologies
• Knowledge of SQL and Python and interest or experience with AI/ML concepts and tools
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. along with communication and teamwork abilities
• Passion for data and a growth mindset with curiosity to learn and develop
