Product Director

As a Product Director, you will be at the center of driving the continued success of Fishbrain, but also develop us as an organization and our product practices. Work will include how to design the subscription, growth, utility & social product user journey parts in our App. You will be a key player in driving the continued success of Fishbrain beyond our 15 million members.

You will focus on leading the app experience, with the mission to grow and amplify the user base, grow engagement and lifetime value by creating a lasting, relevant, and qualitative experience that supports solving angler problems.

Overall responsibilities

• Define the product strategy in line with the overall business strategy for Experience, Growth, and Product Data product teams to achieve company objectives
• Liaison with Domain leaders, key stakeholders and tech leadership
• Lead and manage four product management teams, providing guidance and mentorship to grow skills and capabilities
• Develop best practices with tech leadership for product processes and delivery
• Lead the cross-functional end to end product development towards its mission and goals
• Ensure functional engagement loops , with lifecycle customer journeys. This includes components such as onboarding, feeds, maps, tools, notifications, recommendations, vertical user experiences, UGC etc.
• Ensure product requirements and measurable objectives and oversee the development of the product roadmap
• Assume ownership of product KPIs aligned to company strategy, and continuously analyze business impact of deliveries (e.g MAU, DAU, retention, user contribution, conversion) and define mitigating actions for continuous improvements
• Maintain a strong understanding of the user needs, industry trends and competitor landscape (focus US market)

Profile

• Excellent stakeholder management skills and collaborative mindset with experience working with multiple stakeholders
• A passionate product and user evangelist, with strong interest in product design
• Attention to detail and quality
• Proactive and taking ownership of area and results on senior level
• Excellent analytical as well as communication skills

Experience

• 5+ years of experience as Senior Product Manager, Product Owner, Product Director or comparable roles with team management experiences
• Minimum 2 years experience of leading and managing staff in a product and tech organization
• Experiences working with subscription & utility services, social community/social network or similar areas
• Demonstrated experience in growing the usage and lifetime value of consumer apps and/or digital consumer services
• Demonstrated experience in building engagement loops and lifecycle journeys from first impression to continuous engagement
• Experience of product development best practices with an user centric approach
• Experience of working in a cross functional setting with multiple stakeholders in a fast paced environment
• Solid knowledge of UX and product design is meriting

The Harbor (Fishbrain's HQ)

Our office is based in Stockholm (Södermalm) and we have a hybrid-remote work arrangement. We prioritize in-person collaboration, which means we operate from our offices at least two days per week.
