Beskrivning
TL;DR:
We're hiring a Product Counsel to help legal move at the speed the product ships: clearing features before they go live, making privacy true inside the product, and building the AI tools that let legal scale with the business. Zero risk equals zero growth here; your job is finding the workable path that keeps us shipping.
Why Lovable?
Lovable is the software creation platform that gives people the power to act on the problems closest to them. For decades, turning an idea into software required so much capital, technical fluency, and time that many ideas never came to life. Lovable is the counterargument: a platform for all people with ideas, ambition, and problems worth solving. From solopreneurs to small business owners to teams at companies like Adidas and Zendesk, people have built over 60 million projects on Lovable since its launch in November 2024. And we're just getting started.
We're building a generational company from Stockholm, with growing teams in London, Boston, New York, and San Francisco. Our team is small, talent-dense, and moving quickly, with a culture rooted in extreme ownership, high velocity, and low-ego collaboration. We look for people who care deeply, ship fast, and are eager to make a dent in the world.
Lovable is one of TIME's 100 Most Influential Companies and has been recognized on the Forbes AI 50 and CNBC Disruptor 50, reflecting our momentum as one of Europe's fastest-growing AI companies and one of the most ambitious places to build in this next era of software.

What we're looking for
- Relevant experience: You hold a law degree and qualification in a major jurisdiction (EU member state, UK, or US), and you have 3 to 6 years of practice, including time counseling product or technology teams at or for a consumer-facing technology or SaaS company (in-house or through secondment).
- Launch judgment: You have cleared products that millions use, under real deadlines, and you can walk us through your risk calls: one thing you cleared, one you blocked, one you fixed so it could ship.
- AI and privacy fluency: You have applied GDPR inside a live product (consent, data use, deletion) and handled real AI legal questions: training data, provider terms, or transparency duties. You do not need a privacy certification; you need to have worked on real features, and you get to depth fast.
- Consumer-scale instincts: You write terms that hold against millions of users, and you handle consumer protection, content, and intermediary liability with confidence.
- Pragmatic risk tolerance: You can recommend with 70 percent of the information and say what would change your mind. Answers over memos.
- Automation first: You use AI tools daily and expect to automate the repeatable parts of your own job.
- High energy, fast to learn: Quick into domains you have never touched, unbothered when priorities change weekly.
- Location: Stockholm, in office (we support relocation). Comfortable with occasional US-hours overlap; part of the team is in San Francisco. Fluent English; Swedish is not required.
- Bonus: Platform or marketplace experience; open-source licensing depth (copyleft, patent exposure); EU regulatory range beyond privacy (DSA, e-Privacy, EEA consumer law) or the US equivalents; you don't need to read code but you should have a growth mindset and enjoy digging into using new tech. For example, you have built something with Lovable. Include the link when you apply; it is the fastest way to stand out.
- Embed with product and engineering: Review features, integrations, and launches before they ship, and give go/no-go answers calibrated to actual risk: what clears, what blocks, what ships with a fix. Recent questions on this desk: a health-data connector, AI agents that publish user apps, open-source licensing in the client, ownership of AI-generated code, marking AI-generated content.
- Handle privacy and AI issues inside the product: Data use in new features, consent and disclosure mechanics, opt-out and deletion controls that work end to end. You get into the design while it is still soft and make features match our positions.
- Own product-facing terms: Feature and beta terms, program terms (partners, freelancers), and the user-facing communications when products change or sunset, and contribute to Terms of Service changes.
- Run our AI compliance mechanics: Track EU AI Act transparency and content-marking duties, map obligations against the product roadmap, and support model provider negotiations: make sure retention caps and training bans hold up in the product, not just on paper.
- Answer consumer and platform questions at scale: Marketing claims, consumer protection across the EEA and US, user-generated content and moderation, and liability for what users build and publish through us.
- Back up commercial in enterprise deals: Own the standard answers on training, retention, IP ownership, and hosting liability, and join customer calls when it moves a deal.
- Build systems, not queues: Self-serve guidance, launch checklists, and AI agents that handle the repeatable reviews. We build our own legal tooling on Lovable, and heavy daily AI use is the default here, for lawyers too.
