Are you an experienced logistics professional with a passion for operational excellence? We are looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead our logistics and transport operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and outstanding service delivery.
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you will oversee daily transport and logistics activities, including fleet management, distribution, warehousing, and customer service. You will lead a team of drivers and operations staff, ensuring safety, compliance, and performance standards are consistently met. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong commercial awareness and the ability to drive continuous improvement across all areas of logistics and transport.
Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day logistics and transport operations, ensuring on-time and in-full deliveries.
Lead and develop warehouse, transport, and operations teams.
Optimize routes, fleet utilization, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
Ensure compliance with EU/national transport laws, health & safety, and company standards.
Monitor KPIs (OTD, OTIF, cost per shipment) and drive improvement initiatives.
Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and key stakeholders.
Manage budgets, costs, and operational performance.
What We're Looking For
5+ years' experience in logistics/transport management (freight forwarding, contract logistics, or distribution).
Strong leadership skills with proven people management experience.
Knowledge of EU/national transport regulations (ADR, driver hours, road safety, etc.).
Commercial mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in logistics systems (TMS/WMS/ERP - e.g., SAP, CargoWise).
Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or relative experience.
