Junior Associate, Antitrust & Competition - Stockholm
Your future in Antitrust & competition starts here!
Are you at the beginning of your legal career, or ready to take the next step, within competition law? Do you want to work in an international, business-oriented environment where collaboration, responsibility, and high-quality advice go hand in hand? We are now looking for a Junior Associate to join our Antitrust & Competition team.
At Baker McKenzie, you will have the opportunity to grow in a dynamic setting where business law meets global perspectives. As a Junior Associate, you will work closely with clients and colleagues on a broad range of Swedish and EU competition law matters. Your work will include merger control filings and other transaction-related competition law advice, investigations by competition authorities as well as matters involving abuse of dominance. You will also assist clients with the assessment and review of agreements and business practices from a competition law perspective.
Many assignments are international, giving you the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across our global network daily. You will work closely with clients from an early stage, take on significant responsibility, and contribute to complex, cross-border matters. We offer a workplace where you can develop your legal skills, build strong client relationships, and grow your career with the support of experienced colleagues. To thrive with us, you should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, be solution-oriented, and have a genuine interest in understanding the commercial realities behind legal issues.
Who are we looking for?
We are seeking candidates who have recently completed, or are about to complete, a Swedish Master of Law (LL.M.), or to have completed the necessary supplementary studies to obtain such a degree in Sweden, with strong academic results. Candidates with some prior experience in competition law are also encouraged to apply.
We believe that you
Experience from a law firm, a competition authority, or the European Commission is considered an advantage, as is prior academic specialization in competition law.
Application
Please attach your CV, academic transcripts, cover letter, and any other relevant certificates.
Selection is ongoing, and the position will be closed as soon as it is filled.
Please note that we do not process applications submitted via email.
What We Offer
You will join an international organization focused on major, well-known clients, where operations are structured by Practice Group across countries and offices. Equality and diversity are fundamental to us, and we value our corporate culture built on friendship, teamwork, and trust. You will be part of a social workplace with many shared activities, such as workout sessions, football tournaments, and weekly breakfasts.
A prime setting - We have recently moved into our newly renovated, state-of-the-art offices on Mäster Samuelsgatan 17, right in the heart of Stockholm.
