AI Platform Engineer - MLOps & GenAI Infrastructure

Join our AI & Exploration Platforms team and help build the operational backbone of Telia's AI platform. We are looking for an AI Platform Engineer who will own and evolve the infrastructure, pipelines, and platform services that enable ML and GenAI capabilities across four countries.

This is not an application development role - you will focus on keeping AI capabilities reliable, scalable, and production-ready in a regulated, multi-country environment while building the next generation of platform services used by hundreds of internal users.

What you'll do:

You will design, operate, and continuously improve the platform services and infrastructure powering Telia's AI and GenAI ecosystem.

• Operate and evolve AI platform services including Feature Store infrastructure, SageMaker environments, model serving, and batch inference pipelines
• Manage GenAI infrastructure, including LLM gateway operations, model deployments, observability tooling, and platform reliability
• Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD workflows, automated testing, deployment pipelines, and platform automation tooling
• Diagnose and resolve production incidents, drive root cause analysis, and communicate operational impact and status to stakeholders
• Support internal users such as data scientists, ML engineers, and application teams in effectively using the platform
• Collaborate with platform engineers, architects, security teams, and stakeholders to define standards and ways of working
  

What will help you thrive in this role:

You enjoy solving complex operational challenges and take ownership of production systems end-to-end. You are comfortable working independently in a small, high-impact team and understand that platform engineering is about enabling others to succeed through reliable and scalable services.

• Strong experience with MLOps in production environments, including ML pipelines, model serving, batch inference, and platform operations
• Strong Python development skills for APIs, automation, SDKs, and platform tooling
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as SageMaker, Bedrock, EKS, IAM, and S3
• Experience operating Kubernetes environments, including EKS clusters, Helm charts, and troubleshooting at pod level
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CDK and CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions
• Experience building or operating Feature Store platforms such as Feast, SageMaker Feature Store, Tecton, or similar
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical status into business impact
  

Bonus if you also have experience with:LLM and GenAI infrastructure, observability tooling such as OpenTelemetry or Grafana, Azure AI services, hybrid/on-prem AI environments, multi-country platform operations, or security practices related to IAM, secrets management, and network segmentation in regulated environments.
