You will be part of the hardware development team in Linköping which consists of both experienced and young talented engineers in electronics, mechanics and embedded software. We work together across the disciplines in projects to create world-class products.

In addition, you have worked for at least 5 years in a relevant field and have a university degree in computer science, engineering physics or a similar relevant area.

What you'll do as an Experienced Embedded Software Engineer:

As an experienced embedded software engineer in our team, you collaborate and communicate a lot with other stakeholder within Axis, both in Linköping and on other sites to deliver products. You'll act as a bridge between software, hardware, and product management, translating complex technical challenges into clear requirements and solutions for different stakeholders.

Your main software objective will be to build functional, scalable and high-quality solutions in a common code base. Our software responsibilities span all the way from hardware via drivers, system services, API:s to web-based interfaces, with the main work being:

• Developing software in C or C++ for embedded Linux systems.
• Developing software in C for MCU (for example Bare-Metal or using FreeRTOS).
• Using Git, Gerrit and GitHub for revision handling and review.
• Writing unit and system test cases.

In addition to the experience within the above-mentioned areas, the following would be meriting:

• Experience of roles with responsibilities such as, code ownership, system design, work planning.
• Experience working with Yocto and embedded Linux systems.
• Experience of programming languages as Rust, Python, Shell and Typescript
