Head of Engineering Neuro Solutions at Elekta

We are seeking a Head of Engineering for our Business Line Neuro Solution's. As we are on a transformation journey, this role will be responsible for leading all engineering and technical innovation activities. This role provides strategic and hands-on leadership across the Engineering function, and the successful candidate will ensure the delivery of robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective designs while supporting new product introduction, continuous improvement and development programs on time and within budget. This role is reporting to Head of Neuro Solutions, and the location will be in Stockholm city.

The responsibilities are

Product and technology leadership

• Full end-to-end ownership of the Neuro Solutions product portfolio and lifecycle.

• Ownership of the Product Creation Process (PCP) and associated project management.

• Definition, execution, and governance of the Neuro Solutions technology roadmap.

• Leadership of concept exploration, pre-development, advanced development, and application development.

• Accountable for delivery against agreed business cases, timelines, quality, and cost targets.

• Ownership of system engineering practices and continuous improvement.

• Responsibility for IP strategy in collaboration with IP, including invention capture and patent filings.

• Supplier technology strategy in collaboration with Procurement, including innovation partnerships and BOM strategy evolution.

• Ownership of engineering support for the installed base, including continuous engineering and Tier 5 complaint resolution.

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Tight integration with Product Management, Service, Maintenance & Installed base functions.

• Active participation in PCP governance and software platform alignment.

• Resource and competency alignment with other business lines, particularly within engineering across Elekta.

Management

• Line management responsibility for direct reports, including goal setting, coaching, and performance management.

• Engineering resource planning, utilization, and competency development (short, mid, long term).

• Ownership of the Neuro Solutions engineering organization and expense budgets.

• Long-term capability building with clinical workflow expertise as a priority.

• Member of the Neuro Solutions Business Line Management Team.

Relevant knowledge, skills and competencies

• Master's degree or PhD in a relevant technical field.

• Senior leadership experience within international engineering organizations.

• Proven track record as a senior manager in the medical device / MedTech industry.

• Deep experience with structured Product Creation / Product Lifecycle processes.

• Strong cross-functional leader with the ability to drive alignment without formal authority.

• High ethical standards, sound judgment, and strong interpersonal credibility.
• Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline.

• Clear, precise communicator at all levels.

• Results-driven, analytically sharp, and decisive under resource constraints.

• Proven ability to influence geographically distributed, multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
