Role Summary

As Global Rental Solutions Manager, you will have a global responsibility for supporting, developing, and aligning Scania's rental business globally. In this role, you will responsible for driving the global rental strategy across markets.

Working in close and continuous collaboration within Scania Commercial both the global functions and the Business Units Rental organisation and Scania Financial Services (SFS), you will ensure a commercially robust, operationally executable, and scalable rental offering.

This role combines strategic development and governance ownership, acting as a critical interface between markets, global functions and financial stakeholders. You will drive consistency across regions while enabling local market success.

Job Responsibilities

The role is responsible for driving the development, alignment and performance of Scania's global rental business across markets by:

  • Close collaboration with global rental markets, providing guidance and challenge across strategy, pricing, fleet management, utilisation, risk and performance
  • Partnering with Scania Financial Services to align rental products, financial structures, funding models, risk appetite and governance frameworks
  • Driving harmonisation and continuous improvement of global rental processes, KPIs, governance models and reporting standards
  • Supporting markets in implementing new rental concepts and business models including electrification, Pay per use, Vehicle-as-a-Service and emerging commercial models
  • Leading and contributing to global and regional projects from concept through business case to implementation, in close collaboration with Solution Managers and Business Units
  • Acting as a change agent by challenging the status quo, supporting new market development, and balancing commercial performance with customer needs, operational feasibility, and financial sustainability
  • Providing targeted support to the Used Vehicle organisation, particularly where rental lifecycle decisions impact residual values and remarketing outcomes


Who You Are

You are a skilled professional with proven experience in managing cross-functional stakeholders and driving commercial success across markets, with the ability to operate effectively in a matrix organisation. You bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in sales or rental, with strategic responsibility and a strong understanding of rental business models in the automotive, transport or industrial sectors, along with solid knowledge of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Total Operating Economics (TOE)
  • An entrepreneurial and adaptable mindset, with the ability to navigate diverse market, customer and financial challenges while fostering strong collaboration
  • A data-driven, fact-based approach, using KPIs and business cases to guide decision-making, prioritisation, and portfolio optimisation
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage and align stakeholders across different organisational levels
  • Experience in project and change management across borders; international exposure and familiarity with financing, leasing, or rental businesses are strong advantages, along with willingness to travel globally

Solutions Portfolio Optimisation is a global team of 14 professionals belonging to Solutions Management team within the Scania Commercial Organisation. Our assignment is to enable scalable growth across segments by optimising Scania's solutions portfolio for Goods Transport, ensuring our offerings meet customer needs and deliver increased turnover and profit. The organisation works in close partnership with all the segments and cross functionally with relevant stakeholders.
