OverviewJoin our team as a Microsoft Data Center Project Manager (DCPM)and take ownership of planning, coordinating, and delivering data center deployments and site initiatives for one of our campuses in Sweden. In this role, you will manage projects end‑to‑end or as part of larger portfolio initiatives, ensuring site readiness, correct reservations, and successful execution in close partnership with Logistics, IT, Engineering, and Data Center Operations.As a DCPM, you act as the point of accountability for deployment delivery, coordinating dependencies across teams, managing schedules and risks, and ensuring that work is executed safely, compliantly, and on time. You will work closely with Data Center Management and functional partners to drive predictable delivery outcomes while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and service availability.Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I DCPM, you play a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services, including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and Microsoft Azure.
Responsibilities
- Project & Deployment Ownership
- Plan, coordinate, and deliver data center projects and deployments from initiation through completion, aligned with approved timelines and business priorities.
- Own deployment readiness, including cluster reservations, dependency tracking, and alignment across IT, Logistics, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Act as the overall deployment owners, ensuring scope, schedule, risks, and milestones are clearly defined and actively managed.
- Drive alignment across multiple workstreams and resolve conflicts or blockers through structured escalation.
- Ensure safety requirements, risk assessments, and change management processes are in place and followed for all project activities.
- Participate in and lead root cause analysis (RCA) for deployment or project issues, driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure projects comply with data center standards, procedures, and operational readiness requirements.
- Serve as the primary interface between Data Center Operations, functional teams, and external vendors for assigned projects.
- Facilitate clear communication, status reporting, and decision‑making across stakeholders.
- Support vendor coordination from a project governance perspective, ensuring scope alignment and delivery readiness.
- Share lessons learned and best practices across the campus and broader CO+I organisation.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in project management, operations, or infrastructure delivery in a technical or operational environment.
- Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills across cross‑functional teams.
- Proven ability to manage schedules, dependencies, risks, and delivery commitments.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise effectively, and drive outcomes in a dynamic environment.
Background Check Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
While not required, we also look for the followingPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in hyperscale data center environments or large‑scale technical operations.
- Familiarity with Critical Environment infrastructure (UPS, generators, cooling) or physical IT infrastructure (servers, networking, racks, cabling).
- Technical College degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
