Om jobbet

Scania is undergoing a transformation from being a leading supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to providing complete and sustainable transport solutions. Together with TRATON and our sister brands MAN, Volkswagen Truck & Bus, and International, we are working to shape the future of mobility with innovative and environmentally conscious solutions.

Our values - customer first, respect, team spirit, responsibility, and elimination of waste - are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we are at the forefront of creating a sustainable future.

Pre Logistics is a newly established department within Central Logistics with a clear mission: to ensure logistics readiness in Product Development and sourcing projects. We are currently building the structures, processes, and tools that will define logistics decision-making for future Scania products. We are now looking for a Cost Engineer who wants to play a key role in building the financial capabilities within this field.

Role Summary

As Cost Engineer, you will work at the intersection of logistics, product development, and finance. You ensure that logistics cost and value perspectives are integrated into early product development decisions.

You will develop financial models, drive business cases, and provide decision support that shapes our logistics solutions to efficiency.

Since the organisation is still being established, the role combines hands-on analysis with business development, offering an opportunity to influence both process and method.

Job Responsibilities

In this role you will:
• Consolidate and analyze logistics costs in Product Development projects
• Develop logistics business cases and engage in investment calculations
• Perform logistics value analyses (PVA/LVA) to support improvement initiatives
• Conduct Make-or-Buy assessments from a logistics cost perspective
• Contribute to our readiness monitoring in the Logistics Readiness Control Tower
• Develop calculation models and financial methods for PD logistics
• Collaborate with colleagues across logistics, procurement, production, R&D and finance
• Work closely with peer functions within TRATON brands to develop common approaches and best practices

Who You Are

You enjoy working where business decisions and financial analysis meet. You are analytical, curious, and comfortable navigating complex cross-functional environments.

We believe you have:
• A degree in Economics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or similar
• 3-4 years of experience from financial models, cost analysis, or business controlling
• Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working
• Developed communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to translate complex analyses into clear decision support
• Fluency in English

Experience from logistics, supply chain, product development, or industrial environments is highly meriting.

This Is Us

Pre Logistics (OE) is a new department within Scania Central Logistics. Our team consists of experienced logistics professionals with deep knowledge of Product Development and sourcing logistics.
Our mission is to ensure that logistics interests are fully represented in Product Development. As a first step, we are establishing a Logistics Readiness Control Tower where we define processes, visualize project status, and ensure that logistics deliverables are met.

We also play an important role in the TRATON logistics collaboration, contributing to the development of common methods and enabling a "one-voice" logistics perspective across brands.

Scania Offers

We offer a dynamic, flexible workplace with hybrid work options, including Scania Sergel and Midway hubs. With a structured development plan and courses, Scania supports your career growth both locally and internationally.
