We are looking for an experienced Senior System Architect with strong expertise in HMI and infotainment for our client in Gothenburg. This is a key role for someone who combines strong architectural thinking with a hands-on mindset and enjoys working closely with both product and engineering teams.
You will play an important part in shaping complex user-facing systems and ensuring strong alignment across software, hardware, and user experience. The role suits someone who is comfortable taking technical ownership from early concept through validation and release.

Responsibilities
- Define and guide system architecture for complex HMI and infotainment solutions
- Take ownership of features across the full lifecycle, from early concept and definition to validation and release
- Ensure alignment between software, hardware, and user experience layers in a distributed development environment
- Contribute to safety-related analyses and help ensure solutions are designed with compliance in mind
- Act as a technical reference point for cross-functional teams
- Support architectural decisions with a practical, hands-on approach when needed
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, and other technical disciplines
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience working with system-level design within HMI and/or infotainment
- Strong understanding of how end-to-end user-facing vehicle features are specified, developed, and integrated
- Experience from architecture work in embedded systems environments
- Familiarity with modern frameworks and tools used to build embedded user interfaces
- Experience contributing to safety-oriented development processes and assessments aligned with relevant industry standards
- Ability to work across the full development lifecycle, from idea and architecture to implementation and delivery
- Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
- Experience from automotive product development
- Experience from startup or fast-moving product environments
- Strong understanding of distributed development organizations
- Experience promoting technical best practices and knowledge sharing across teams
