Senior System Architect - HMI & Infotainment

We are looking for an experienced Senior System Architect with strong expertise in HMI and infotainment for our client in Gothenburg. This is a key role for someone who combines strong architectural thinking with a hands-on mindset and enjoys working closely with both product and engineering teams.

You will play an important part in shaping complex user-facing systems and ensuring strong alignment across software, hardware, and user experience. The role suits someone who is comfortable taking technical ownership from early concept through validation and release.

Responsibilities

• Define and guide system architecture for complex HMI and infotainment solutions
• Take ownership of features across the full lifecycle, from early concept and definition to validation and release
• Ensure alignment between software, hardware, and user experience layers in a distributed development environment
• Contribute to safety-related analyses and help ensure solutions are designed with compliance in mind
• Act as a technical reference point for cross-functional teams
• Support architectural decisions with a practical, hands-on approach when needed
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders across product, engineering, and other technical disciplines

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with system-level design within HMI and/or infotainment
• Strong understanding of how end-to-end user-facing vehicle features are specified, developed, and integrated
• Experience from architecture work in embedded systems environments
• Familiarity with modern frameworks and tools used to build embedded user interfaces
• Experience contributing to safety-oriented development processes and assessments aligned with relevant industry standards
• Ability to work across the full development lifecycle, from idea and architecture to implementation and delivery
• Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams

Nice to Have

• Experience from automotive product development
• Experience from startup or fast-moving product environments
• Strong understanding of distributed development organizations
• Experience promoting technical best practices and knowledge sharing across teams
