Role OverviewThe client's Research and Development division within Product and Quality is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to support the development of next-generation luxury automotive solutions. This role involves close collaboration with global engineering teams to deliver innovative, human-centric technologies that enhance user experience and simplify everyday mobility.
The position is ideal for professionals with a strong interest in connected car ecosystems, infotainment technologies, and data-driven engineering practices, along with a passion for sustainability and advanced mobility solutions.
Project Context
The role is aligned with the client's Infotainment software factory, one of the most rapidly evolving domains in the automotive sector. With competition from leading technology players such as Apple and collaborations with Google, the client continues to innovate in driver interaction and digital experience platforms.
The team focuses on enhancing transparency within the software factory by leveraging monitoring and visualization tools across CI/CD pipelines, environments, and product systems. This enables the transformation of raw engineering data into meaningful, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Design, enhance, and sustain the ConX engineering data product to support development workflows.
Architect and implement scalable data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and storing engineering and CI/CD data.
Define and standardize data models and metrics in collaboration with senior engineers and solution architects.
Develop both event-driven and batch-based data processing frameworks.
Maintain high standards of data integrity, consistency, and observability across pipelines.
Enforce data governance practices, including security, access management, and compliance controls.
Create self-service data solutions and analytical layers to support engineering teams and stakeholders.
Partner with CI/CD, platform, and product teams to gather requirements and deliver efficient data solutions.
Oversee pipeline performance, diagnose issues, and drive continuous improvements in system efficiency.
Required Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
3 to 7 years of professional experience in data engineering or software engineering, preferably in data-intensive environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, or equivalent programming languages for data pipeline development.
Practical exposure to modern data platforms, data modeling techniques, and transformation frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and observability platforms such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Grafana, ELK, and Git.
Understanding of distributed systems, data storage formats, and streaming or event-driven architectures.
Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities within cross-functional engineering teams.
Effective communication skills with the ability to convert business/data needs into technical solutions.
Preferred (Meritorious) Skills
Experience working in large-scale automotive or similar enterprise environments.
Knowledge of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with containerized environments and modern deployment practices.
