Assignment Overview

We are looking for a Principal Solution Architect

What You Will Work On

Participate in early phases and feasibility studies for new initiatives

Act as Lead Architect in larger initiatives when required

Support Business Area Teams handling inflow from Truck Divisions and Business Areas

Assess architectural impact on VGCS Portal and Platform

Design and define end-to-end solution architectures for business initiatives

Drive technical pre-studies, investigations, and architectural evaluations

Maintain a holistic platform view to ensure scalability and reuse

Support Product Team Architects with brand-specific solution needs

Act as architectural interface toward Truck Divisions and Business Areas

Support early analysis and preparation of new requests and business cases

Shape high-level concepts aligned with CAST (Common Architecture Shared Technology) principles

Understand and document current as-is solution landscapes within VGCS

Consolidate and maintain overview of VGCS deliveries for respective Business Areas

What You Bring

Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture or senior technical roles

Strong technical foundation, preferably with previous experience as a system developer

Broad competence across cloud platforms (preferably AWS), microservices, integrations, data architecture, and security

Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable architectural solutions

Holistic end-to-end mindset with strong big-picture thinking

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple departments

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with architects and stakeholders

Comfortable working in complex, evolving, or partially unstructured environments

Forward-driven personality with high initiative, energy, and ownership mindset

Fluent in English, both written and spoken
