Om jobbet

Be part of shaping the future. We are looking for a Material and Test Engineer who wants to stand at the forefront as next-generation fiber composites take form. Here, you won't just help develop and industrialise breakthrough materials - you will see how they perform across the entire value chain: from lab and advanced analysis to finished components in production and final products.

This is the role for you if you want to understand how materials behave, how we can push their limits, and what it takes to create the sustainable, lightweight and high-performance solutions that will shape tomorrow's society.

About the role

You will be part of our Development team, focusing on material development within fiber composites. The role is hands-on, analytical and development-driven, where testing is not the end goal, but a tool to drive material performance forward.

Our materials are not developed in isolation - they are shaped into components that are used directly in end products, either as standalone solutions or as parts of our customers' final products.

You will

Plan, execute and follow up on material testing (R&D and QC)

Perform mechanical, physical and chemical testing of fiber composites

Ensure traceability, structure and quality in test data

Analyse results and link them to material behaviour and process parameters

Contribute to the development and optimisation of materials and manufacturing processes

Connect material properties to function and requirements in finished components and products

Collaborate with Development and Production to implement improvements

Participate in technical customer and research projects

Work in accordance with applicable quality and safety standards in lab and testing environments

You will operate at the intersection of material, process and performance.

Examples of technical challenges you will work on

How material properties influence function and performance in finished components

How variation in materials and process parameters affects mechanical properties

How testing methods can be improved to better reflect real-world use

How to ensure reproducibility from lab to production

How material behaviour changes during scale-up

Your impact in the role

Product performance and quality

The ability to scale production

The speed at which new material solutions can be industrialised

We are looking for someone who wants more than just running tests

You want to understand the mechanisms behind results and use data to improve both materials and processes.

We believe you have

A Bachelor's degree or higher in Materials Science, Chemistry or similar

Experience working in a lab or testing environment

Experience with material testing and data analysis

Meritorious:

Experience with fiber composites or polymer materials

Experience in product development or scaling

How you succeed in this role

We are a scaleup - which means we don't have all the answers, and you will be part of building them.

You are:

Technically curious - you want to understand mechanisms, not just results

Structured in complexity - you create order and traceability where it is lacking

Data-driven - you trust data, but you also challenge it

Hands-on - comfortable both in the lab and in analysis

Self-driven - you see what needs to be done and take action

And importantly:

You thrive in an environment where the pace is high, direction may shift, and structure is built while we move forward. The role requires strong personal drive and the ability to maintain momentum even when not all pieces are in place.

What does success look like in this role?

After 6-12 months, you have:

Built a strong understanding of our materials and testing methods

Contributed to tangible improvements in materials or processes

Ensured high quality and traceability in test data

Become a natural link between Development and Production

About us

We are a manufacturing company in strong growth, developing and industrialising fiber composite materials that are shaped into components - either as finished products or as parts of our customers' end products.

Our ambition goes beyond replacing materials - we are building solutions for a more resilient society.

This means developing materials and products that:

Reduce dependency on fossil and vulnerable value chains

Can be produced and scaled using stable and accessible raw materials

Combine high performance with long-term sustainability

We operate at the intersection of:

Materials science

Production and industrialisation

Resilience and sustainable transformation
