Om jobbet

Background:

When developing TCU Proof of Concepts (PoC) and during project RFQ/startup phase many components in the system are unknown; some are reused from project-to-project and other parts are new. Designing single-PCB PoC systems or custom full systems for verification of components both take a lot of time and is very expensive.

This project would look at designing a system comprised of several independent PCBs for different parts of the system such as CPU&memory, NAD, CAN and other external interfaces, power supply and connect them via a standardized backplane.

The thesis project would be one or more of the following parts:
  • Look at a number of existing and proposed designs, suggest how the system partitioning into replaceable modules should be done.
  • Evaluate backplane design, what busses etc.
  • Investigate existing standards or "industry standards" for modularized designs. Can something be reused?
  • Do actual design of one or several modules.

Challenges:

Benefits of working with us
  • Engage in cutting-edge automotive technology development.
  • Collaborate in a dynamic and innovative team environment.
  • Contribute to significant advancements in automotive system reliability.

Ideal candidates should be enrolled in a university program, preferably Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar.

Candidates should also be familiar with embedded programming, hardware development and Linux environments.

We are also looking for these personal traits: easy going, friendly, open minded, tech-entusiastic and with a meticulously mindset.
