About Asgard Therapeutics

Asgard Therapeutics is a privately held biotech company pioneering in vivo direct cell reprogramming for cancer immunotherapy, backed by Johnson & Johnson Innovation - JJDC, Inc., RV Invest, Novo Holdings, Boehringer Ingelheim Venture Fund, and Industrifonden. Our lead candidate, AT-108, is a first-in-class gene therapy that reprograms tumor cells into antigen-presenting dendritic cells (cDC1), triggering a personalized and potent anti-tumor immune response.

Position Overview

Asgard Therapeutics offers a creative and team-oriented work environment. The role will involve executing in vivo experiments, including troubleshooting technical issues as they arise. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills are required. Experimental rigor, scientific curiosity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapting to evolving priorities, are musts. The ideal candidate for this position will have a background in immuno-oncology and hands-on experience in in vivo research. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Medicon Village in Lund, Sweden.

Key responsibilities

Assist in planning and execution of in vivo studies using syngeneic and CDX mouse models.

Prepare study materials, reagents, dosing formulations, and test articles in accordance with study protocols.

Perform technical procedures including tumor establishment and measurement, animal handling, in vivo dosing (e.g., IT, IV, SC, IP), anesthesia, blood and tissue collection, euthanasia, and daily health monitoring.

Maintain accurate animal records, including clinical observations, body weight tracking, and welfare assessments.

Support necropsy procedures and assist with tissue processing, labeling, and sample analysis.

Participate in method development and optimization of in vivo models and techniques.

Contribute to data quality control and assist in compiling study summaries and study reports.

Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper organization of animal and laboratory areas.

Qualifications

BSc degree in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Biomedicine, or related life science discipline. MSc is a plus.

FELASA B or equivalent animal handling certification is required.

Strong hands-on experience with in vivo mouse work in an academic or industry setting.

Basic understanding of cancer immunotherapies. Knowledge of dendritic cell and T cell biology is a plus.

Experience with tumor biology-related in vitro assays, for example multi-color flow cytometry, ELISpot and T-cell cytotoxicity assays.

Experience with small molecule and viral vectors handling and their in vivo administration is a plus.

Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
