Job Description:The Group Manager production role provides full tactical and operational leadership for a factory operating surface treatment and cleanroom assembly in an ISO Class 7 environment, under GMP / Medical Device regulatory requirements in our manufacturing site in Karlskoga.
The role holds end-to-end accountability for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people, acting as the overall Production Manager of the factory.
You are responsible for the complete production organization, leading seven direct reporting managers, approximately 100 operators in the factory, and a complex manufacturing flow with ~40 process steps. Operations include validated surface treatment processes and assembly in controlled cleanroom conditions, requiring strict adherence to GMP, contamination control, traceability, and change management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead through other managers all production operations to meet volume, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Ensure full alignment with site and company-wide strategic goals, including safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee daily production operations and ensure achievement of performance targets.
- Drive and embed Continuous Improvement and Envista Business System (EBS) methodologies across the department.
- Own and implement EBS tools such as Daily Management (DM), Problem Solving Process (PSP), and Kaizen event for the entire factory.
- Set, monitor, and act on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive operational excellence.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for internal deviations or costumer complains.
- Manage staffing, recruitment, performance development, salary reviews, and rehabilitation processes.
- Plan and control factory budget and resource allocation.
- Ensure proper calibration and use of measurement instruments in line with standards.
- Represent the factory in Production leadership forums and cross-functional initiatives.
- Ensure transparent communication of performance metrics across the organization.
- Act as the primary decision-maker for production-related matters, including coordination with support functions such as Quality.
- Maintain a safe and compliant working environment for the entire department.
- Ensure adherence to environmental instructions and sustainability goals.
- Lead the budget and goal-setting process for the department.
Job Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English.
- Experience in production
- Experience of medical device is an advantage
- 5 years of experience of managing a team, including indirectly.
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with continuous improvement principles Lean/Six sigma.
