Documentation & Master Data Manager (Rolling Stock)


We are seeking an experiencedDocumentation & Master Data Managerto support our client's rolling stock projects. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in documentation management, master data processes, and material management, preferably within the railway or heavy vehicle industry. You will play a central role in ensuring high-quality data, structured documentation deliveries, and well-organized material and spare parts information across the full project lifecycle.
Assignment will be hybrid where travels to Oslo will be mandatory.

Basic qualifications
  • Lead and manage Documentation and Master Data deliveries within complex engineering projects.
  • Oversee Material Management activities, ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely data flow between stakeholders.
  • Maintain and govern Master Data Management (MDM) processes, structures, and data quality routines.
  • Provide specialist knowledge in MDM for railway or heavy vehicles and components, ensuring alignment with industry practices.
  • Prepare and support the creation of Spare Parts Catalogues, ensuring structure, accuracy, and alignment with engineering documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with documentation standards and support harmonization across the organization.

Required Competencies & Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing Documentation and Master Data deliveries in engineering or industrial projects.
  • Strong experience in Material Management, including classification, structuring, and lifecycle handling of material and component data.
  • Demonstrated background in Master Data Management within technical or engineering environments.
  • Experience with MDM processes specific to railway or heavy vehicles and their components is highly valued.

Preferred additional skills, personal traits and experience
  • Solid technical understanding of SQL, cloud services, and Python, particularly for data quality checks, automation, or integration tasks.
  • Familiarity with EN 15380 - Railway applications: Designation system for railway vehicles.
  • Understanding of TSI LOC & PAS and documentation standards for rolling stock.
  • Strong analytical mindset and a structured, detail-oriented approach to information.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and suppliers.
  • Motivated by building robust, efficient, and reliable documentation and data foundations.
