Support children and teenagers with their schoolwork!

For the academic year 2026/27,we are looking for new tutors for Chalmers projectPluggstöd (study support). As a student you will be an important role model, helping young students in primary and secondary school with their homework. You will visit both schools and associations in Gothenburg and have the opportunity to develop your teaching skills, help students achieve their goals and, above all, be a role model and mentor for future generations.

Information about the position

As a tutor for Chalmers Pluggstöd, you mainly support primary and lower secondary school students with homework in mathematics and scientific subjects, but also in other subjects if needed. Pluggstöd is carried out in collaboration with schools and associations, and the sessions take place in their facilities. Usually, you work together with a staff member from the school/association and a group of 10-20 students. One of the aims of the project is to promote an international environment. Therefore, and we employ both Swedish-speaking and international students who often work together during the sessions. Each session lasts about 2-4 hours. The work extends to over approximately 10 weeks per semester and is expected to start in September 2026.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates that are currently studying at Chalmers or University of Gothenburg. You are positive, enjoy working with children and teenagers, are committed and like to communicate knowledge in an easy-to-understand and engaging way. Previous experience of tutoring, teaching or similar activities is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Form of employment

Intermittent employment (employed by the hour) as agreed.
The scope of work varies approximately 6-15 hours per month. We prefer if you can work at least one session per week.
Hourly rate 139 SEK/hour.

The employment is time-limited and will commence no earlier than26-09-07 and end no later than 27-05-20, as agreed. If your situation changes and you need to end your employment during the period, we will find a suitable solution in dialogue.
