We are looking for a Corporate Accident and Health Underwriter to join our team in the Nordics. Based in either Copenhagen or Stockholm, the role consists of underwriting of the A&H Corporate business, marketing & product development, portfolio management and profitability analysis. The role reports into the Head of Accident and Health, Northern Region.

Key areas of responsibility

• To underwrite new business and renewals according to defined underwriting guidelines, specified budget and local business plan.
• Manage the profitability and risk of the A&H business and help drive growth, update & develop underwriting guidelines
• Drive the business analysis, quotation and wording issuance process
• Product Development. To prioritize and develop products within area of specialist expertise in order to improve client retention and new business. This may involve collaborating with peers within and across business lines in Europe as well as globally
• Pipeline management
• Market facing Underwriter, actively driving prospecting, onboarding of new clients
• Further develop value proposition, help design and execute business development plans, prepare and assist portfolio renewal

Qualifications

The role requires good market and product knowledge, strong analytic skills, good communication skills (both internally and externally, both technically and commercially), integrity, ability to problem solving and match challenging business development and profitability objectives.

The jobholder is expected to operate within the in an environment of increasing competition, making best use of technology and data management to drive efficiencies and economies of scale.

• Underwriting and business development expertise acquired in the insurance business
• Fluent in Danish and/or Swedish and professional level in English
• University degree in Business Administration/Law/ Finance
• Minimum of 5 years' experience within Accident & Health
• Business Experience of an international business environment is meriting
