Since the beginning of the 2000s, Scania has had a joint venture with Cummins for the development and manufacture of common-rail fuel systems. The production of these systems is located in Juarez, Mexico and in Södertälje. Product development has primarily taken place in Columbus, USA, but since autumn 2017 we have the new product development and current product support for our fuel systems plant in Södertälje. This is to be able to offer better support and get closer to our current and future European customers and suppliers. The mission for Cummins Fuel Systems Sweden is to develop high and low pressure fuel pumps and injectors for existing and future customers within the Scania/Traton group.

• Implement corrective actions for internal deviations and ensure an actionable corrective plan for supplier deviations.
• Facilitate problem-solving and drive continuous improvements for production deviations, including responsibility for advancing and refining our analysis tools.
• Offer technical leadership in change management projects, supporting long-term solution implementation.
• Perform warranty analysis and lead/participate in Field Quality (FQ) projects arising from warranty claims.

Your colleagues
The Product engineer in current product today consists of Seven people including me, with a mix of experiences, cultures and backgrounds. I would say that we are a group that takes on most challenges every day in a dynamic environment where we deliver results - both daily and over time. Some of us are parents of small children and therefore the conditions for the week can quickly change when the preschool calls and one of us has to pick up sick children. For us, it is important that the puzzle of life fits together and therefore we have a good cohesion, where everyone cares about each other and supports when someone is having an intense period. Although we all have different areas of responsibility, we help each other and prioritize together.
