Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Senior Power Economist Specialist to join our dynamic team
What You Will Work On:
- Setting tariffs for power projects within the European Interconnected System.
- Conducting financial and economic evaluations of power projects.
- Managing economic and financial dispatching within power systems.
- Negotiating power purchase and sale agreements.
- Coordinating power trade activities, particularly within the GCC interconnected system.
- Ensuring compliance with regulations governing the European Interconnected System and the GCC interconnected system.
What You Bring:
- A minimum of ten years’ experience in tariff setting, financial and economic evaluation of power projects, and power system financial modules.
- Expertise in economic and financial dispatching management within power systems.
- Experience in negotiating power purchase and sale agreements.
- Familiarity with regulations governing the European Interconnected System and preference for knowledge of the GCC interconnected system regulations.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; preference for candidates with a Master’s or Doctorate degree in power economics.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams and across different regions.
- Remote Option is possible.
