Manager, Network & Connectivity

You will work in a global environment where you will be responsible for managing, supporting, delivering, and developing our global networking services together with our partners & service providers. You will also be a ‘guide’ for our service desk to improve their understanding of our environment and will participate in local, regional, and global projects.

Our IT landscape and organization is rapidly transforming, bringing SaaS & Cloud based solutions to the core of our business processes. You will be playing a significant role in the MacGregor IM Services & Infrastructure service development and implementation. In this role, you would be responsible for driving and coordinating our Network services in collaboration with our partners, various service teams, and stakeholders.Key responsibilities:

  • Overall technical responsibility for NaaS (SDWAN, LAN, WLAN / WiFi, VPN, FW) as defined by and in cooperation with our ICT Architect
  • Provide technical expertise for our service partners and business stakeholders.
  • Challenge technical solutions of providers if needed
  • Contribute to creating and maintaining the roadmap and long-term strategy for the Network services
  • Participate in designing the content for new business requirements, technologies, MAD (Merger, Acquisition, Divestment) projects, and services
  • Provide communication and reports for various stakeholder groups through all available channels
  • Have a holistic view and understanding of the domain (cross-service and cross-vendor) and assist in Major Incident troubleshooting
  • Maintain documentation related to the service and act as a guide for the service desk
  • Manage the services budget and ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget

Skills and Experience

We expect you to have the attitude of 'I am here to help you' and being a ‘hands-on’ person. An experienced team player with a generally broad technical IT knowledge. Good interpersonal and communication skills are a prerequisite. As we are a dynamic organization we expect you to adapt and respond to change rapidly.

Skills and experience that would help you succeed in your duties:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or other relevant area
  • 5+ years of experience of global corporate network design, hardware and software
  • Expert knowledge of SDWAN, routing, and network Security technologies and standards
  • Experienced at producing multi-tier, high-availability infrastructure architectures in an Enterprise & cloud environment adhering to DR, Business Continuity and availability best practices
  • Experience with infrastructure management and monitoring tools
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English

Position is primarily located in Gothenburg, Helsinki, or Kaarina. Alternatively, other MacGregor locations are also an option.
