Introduction

The average recruiter spends around 7 seconds screening a CV. That is equivalent to the time it takes to get a first impression of someone at a party. In both scenarios the human brain simplifies things, making us focus on certain aspects. The only difference in first impressions through CVs and during a party, is that the CV screening impacts people’s lives. It leads to some people being shut out from the job market, and others being hunted down by everyone, regardless of understanding if that particular person is actually suitable for the job or not.

Armed with research, machine learning and a revolutionising SaaS tool, Alva Labs is disrupting the hiring scene. We are now looking to add a Growth Marketing Manager to the team, to make sure our customers move towards a brighter hiring future.

As our Growth Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that we act on data, optimising our sales funnel, and building strong relationships and processes in the GTM team. You will work across the whole customer journey: From building and capturing demand, supporting the sales team with sales acceleration to close the deal, and finally finding ambassadors and supporting expansion opportunities. This role is key in growing our revenue, and crucial in helping us expand in current and new markets. You will be measured on Pipeline velocity, New booked ARR and NRR. Marketing and sales share KPIs and we put great pride in having built a strong marketing and sales alignment. You’ll be a key player to take our processes and feedback loop to the next level.

What will you do

Your main responsibility is to drive new revenue and grow the company retaining and expanding our existing customers. Easy peasy, right? That also means you have to go where the data & opportunities take you, but here’s a short list of what we think you will be focusing on:

  • Take control of the buyer journey - making sure data is collected and structured, finding insights and taking action on them
  • Own campaigns, ABM structure & lead nurturing flows in Hubspot
  • Collaborate with our SDR team on ABM strategy and tactics
  • Distribute our content and find out what works and doesn’t work
  • Make sure our website is optimized for technical SEO
  • Lead web development and updates in the CMS (we’re using Hubspot)
  • Support the work of our agencies/freelancers in Paid social and SEM
  • Work closely with the Sales team to understand their needs & challenges to find improvements in the buyer journey
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to understand the user journey & customer pain points to find improvements in the customer journey
  • Visualise data and share insights with the entire GTM team.

Who are you

  • A data & statistics lover. You understand numbers, how to slice data and what you want from a dashboard. And you know how to present it so that non-marketers understand it. Bonus if you know SQL.
  • A techy marketer. From choosing what tools you need (be it Hotjar, Google Optimize or GA4) to understanding how to implement it.
  • You’re the jack of all trades. You will have resources to work with, freelancers & agencies, but you should also be comfortable rolling up your sleeves.
  • A goal-striving individual and a prestigeless team player. We have really ambitious goals here at Alva, and the only way to reach them is to work together as a team.
  • Comfortable having a lot of interactions with other teams and stakeholders. As you will run a lot of cross-functional projects, managing expectations and partnering up with colleagues in other teams will be a key to succeed in this role.
  • We expect you to be fully comfortable communicating in English, as it’s the official language at Alva. Swedish is not a requirement.

What have you done before

We have really high standards, and are searching for that person that will dazzle us. What makes you great however, isn’t necessarily a long experience. You most likely have a background from digital marketing, ideally from B2B SaaS. You know your ABM, campaign management, performance marketing, web analysis, and SEO. Hubspot is your best friend and you’re the one showing up to the discussion packed with data driven insights. Basically you have most likely been hanging out in contexts with a lot of data.
