At Husqvarna Forest & Garden we're seeking a highly qualified Director for Supplier Quality in the field of Electronics, Batteries and Electrical Systems.

Husqvarna is in the electrification Journey meaning the we use more and more electronics parts into our products. This means also our supplier base in the field of Electronics is expanding and being adjusted to meet our strategic journey, maintaining high level of quality as expected from us a premium brand.

The SQA Electronics team is responsible for electronics, electric and electro mechanics supplier base, both inhouse design and sourced subsystems. Examples of systems are control units and user interfaces, batteries, power supplies, chargers, sensors, actuators, various PCBA's and cables. As this areas is technically complex and rapidly grow the are lots of opportunities in developing our way of working within this field. You will in this role actively lead a team of high skilled and dedicated SQE's. Your team is located in Europe and Asia.

As Husqvarna has a broad product portfolio, as well as many manufacturing sites and warehouses around the world. The role includes communication with different stakeholder within Husqvarna Worldwide and also close communication with the supplier in your category portfolio.

About the job

  • Leadership of your team, operational, tactical and strategic.
  • Proactive drive quality assurance, continuous improvement and process development
  • KPI and Reporting – Follow up and drive change
  • Planning of audits and supplier onboarding activities
  • Initiating and monitoring risk mitigating and supplier development activities in close collaboration with your team and piers
  • Engage in strategic supplier dialogues, including escalations in quality cases.
  • Leadership of cross functional quality teams In case of major quality deviations and specific initiatives
  • Development strategy roadmap and driving strategic change to take us to next level of Quality assurance within the field of the category portfolio
  • Build and maintain relations with suppliers and internal stakeholder, where traveling is included. As internal pier functions you will have other SQA Functions, Sourcing Category and Project mgmt, Product Mgmt, Project Mgmt, R&D Functions, Factories and Warehouses, Product Compliance, et.al.
  • You are a active part of Global SQA Mgmt Team and collaborate with other SQA-functions to align and develop processes.


As leader you are/have:

  • As leader you are expected to take active leadership of the SQA team, located in Europe and Asia. Develop you team and well as way of working. Building a strong team based of developing the individuals as well as the team and to grow in the field of expertise.
  • Active leadership and presence with the team at our suppliers to work actively developing quality assurance in the supplier to Husqvarna interface.
  • Hands on leadership skill with good communication & structuring to drive cross company Task Force when needed.
  • Both good at settling requirements and managing expectation as well as solving challenges to find pragmatic way forward.
  • Good at preventively mitigating quality risks as well as hands on problem solving when needed.
  • As person a change leader, wanting to drive change and continuous improvement, with good
  • Are and can bring structure and have good analytic capabilities
  • You are social and have integrity, like networking and meeting many stakeholders always with the best of Husqvarna In focus.

About you

  • Solid Leader, with experience of leading teams with highly skilled engineers and complex stakeholder landscape
  • Solid engineering background in the field of electronics / system engineering, likely in the field of electronics engineering.
  • Been into supplier negotiations on technical level
  • Generally a knowledge and experience in the field of Quality Assurance of the categories in your portfolio
  • Specially:
  • Experienced with quality assurance and processes at sub supplier in the field of electronics
  • Background and knowledge and experience in the field of OEM/ODM, including Electronics / Mechanics / Software / Compliance, Risc and Safety.
  • Good understanding of electronics testing, software management and traceability of electronics sub systems.
  • You have strong analytic, planning and problem solving skills, collaborative with integrity.


Other Good to have background:

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as PCBs, LCDs, LEDs, connectors, cables, Li-Io Batteries, and environmental protection standards
  • Quality assurance across components, PCBA, and module levels
  • Production testing, firmware, electronics reliability, and packaging
  • Electronics Testing
  • Interpreting Electrical Schematics and understanding system functionality

You should enjoy working at the interface of engineering, technical leadership, and supplier relations, with strong technical leadership skills. Professional knowledge in electronics, mechatronics, or related fields is essential.

Fluency in both written and spoken English is required.
