About the Role
You will take the lead in quality assurance for a new PLM platform in a complex engineering environment. The solution spans PTC Windchill, CAD integrations and connected business processes, so your work will be central to making sure the platform is stable, compliant and ready for users across the organisation.
In this role, you will own the full testing lifecycle with a high degree of autonomy. You will guide User Acceptance Testing, reduce delivery risk and help shape a robust solution where technical quality and business fit need to work together. Job DescriptionYou will lead end-to-end testing for Windchill implementations, upgrades and enhancements.
You will define and drive the test strategy, test plans, schedules, and entry and exit criteria.
You will coordinate system, integration, regression, performance and user acceptance testing.
You will work across Windchill modules such as PDMLink, MPMLink and ProjectLink, as well as integrations with ERP, CAD and other enterprise systems.
You will review business and technical requirements to secure strong test coverage.
You will design, review and maintain test cases, test scenarios and test data.
You will lead defect management, including triage, prioritisation, root-cause analysis and retesting.
You will communicate progress, risks and quality metrics to stakeholders.
You will support business users during UAT, manage test cycles and help ensure signoff readiness.
You will drive quality best practices and continuous improvement throughout the testing lifecycle.
RequirementsProven experience as a Test Lead or Senior Test Analyst.
Hands-on experience testing PTC Windchill, including configuration, workflows, lifecycle states and access control.
Understanding of PLM business processes such as Change Management, BOMs and Document Management.
Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and SDLC in Agile and/or Waterfall environments.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or HP ALM.
Experience testing Windchill upgrades, migrations or cloud deployments.
Exposure to CAD and PLM integrations such as Inventor, Creo and SAP.
Strong stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to complete a mandatory drug test.
Nice to haveExperience with legacy-to-cloud PLM transitions.
Background in complex engineering or regulated environments.
ISTQB or equivalent testing certification.
Automation testing experience for PLM systems.
