We are looking for someone who thrives at the intersection ofdeeptech R&D and market strategy, someone who understandsmedical device developmentand also has experience insales, market access or go-to-market execution. Your ability to bridge science with business impact will help us scale from lab to patient.

The Opportunity

As Co-Founder & CTO, you will lead the technological development from material innovation through global regulatory approval and commercialization, significantly impacting people's health and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology Development: Define, develop, and execute the technological roadmap for AkiMed™ biomaterial.
• Co-Founder & Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the CEO and stakeholders to define the company vision and strategic direction.
• Product Development: Oversee the design, testing, validation, and manufacturing of AkiMed™ with our partners.
• Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary R&D team.
• Collaborative Innovation: Coordinate with research, clinical, and commercial teams to align development efforts with market requirements.
• Fundraising and Financial Oversight: Support fundraising activities, manage technical budgets, and present technological milestones to public stakeholders and investors.

Ideal Candidate:

• Passion for improving patient outcomes through regenerative medicine, pioneering the future of healing.
• PhD in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Tissue Engineering, or related fields.
• Solid expertise in biomaterials, particularly synthetic degradable polymers for medical device applications.
• Proven experience in translational medicine, especially in soft tissue regeneration, commercialization and sales of medical devices.
• Familiarity with biofabrication methods, particularly 3D printing or field-assisted biofabrication.
• Understanding of FDA and CE-mark regulatory pathways, including preclinical and clinical trial management (ISO 13485, GMP).
• Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on experience scaling technologies from lab to commercial market.
• Strong leadership experience, preferably within startups or innovative technology companies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English (Swedish proficiency is advantageous).

Desirable Skills:

• Prior experience in startup environments, particularly within deep-tech or medical device technology.
• Expertise in business strategy, funding acquisition, and investor relations.
• Experience managing industrial design, manufacturing processes, and supply chain logistics.
• Proven track record of successful team building, problem-solving, and strategic planning.
