Role SummaryAs Technical Support Engineer your primary responsibility is to deliver expert-level technical support to Scania Business Units globally. This role plays an integral part in ensuring the smooth operation of our customers connected fleet and maintaining high customer satisfaction. In this role, you will gain in-depth knowledge of Scania's products, support tools and trouble-shooting methods, while having the opportunity to establish a robust global network within the company.
Job responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with Business Units and provide expert assistance to Local Technical Support and Fleet Management System administrators across different regions.
- Manage incidents from start to finish, performing structured troubleshooting and diagnostics until a resolution is reached.
- Support Customer Success Agents by handling cases escalated from first-line support.
- Work closely with Scania teams such as developers, testers, field quality specialists, and Research & Development when third-line support is required.
- Contribute your expertise to development projects that strengthen and evolve Scania's connected services.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and quality assurance through training activities, documentation improvements, and process compliance.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to refine procedures, knowledge content, and ways of working.
Who You Are
We believe you have:
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar support-focused role, such as Technical Support, IT Specialist, or Network Specialist.
- Expertise in one or several relevant areas, for example: Fleet Management Systems, digital services, electrical systems (CAN / Ethernet / TCU / ECU), telecom, or network technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting capabilities, with experience in advanced diagnostics and incident process management (considered an asset).
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with global teams and customers.
- A strong customer focus, combined with effective problem-solving, clear communication, and a structured, collaborative approach to teamwork.
