Technical Sales Engineer

Do you want to work at the forefront of technology and contribute to the development of sustainable and electrified propulsion systems for the future of shipping? We are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who wants to combine technical expertise with business understanding in a global and project-intensive environment.

About the Role

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you are responsible for the technical scope in our sales projects, with a primary focus on newbuild vessels. You will configure and optimize propulsion solutions, develop technical specifications, analyses and comparisons, and ensure that our offering is technically sound, competitive, and delivered on time.

The role involves close collaboration with the sales organization, engineers, suppliers, and customers. You will present technical solutions both internally and externally and participate in customer dialogues where technical and commercial trade-offs are required.

The work is characterized by a fast pace, with several projects running simultaneously. Conditions may change late in the process, requiring strong structure, prioritization skills, and perseverance.

The role requires fluency in English, both written and spoken. Travel is required, primarily together with the sales organization. Initially, travel will be more limited but will increase as you grow into the role.

Qualifications

Education
  • Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a similar technical field
    (We are open to different educational backgrounds - what matters most is your technical understanding.)

Knowledge
  • Strong technical understanding of marine propulsion systems
  • Basic knowledge of hydrodynamics
  • Ability to produce and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Ability to conduct technical analyses and compare different solutions
  • Knowledge of electrification and electric propulsion systems is considered an advantage

Experience
  • Experience from the marine industry or other relevant technical sectors
  • Experience in technical customer-facing roles or technical sales is an advantage
  • Experience managing multiple parallel projects is an advantage
