About the Assignment

As a Technical Project Manager within mechanical and piping, you will lead discipline delivery across Balance of Plant construction areas in a large-scale industrial project environment. You'll ensure technical excellence, safety and predictable execution by integrating piping scope with the overall project plan-supporting reliable, cost-effective facility performance.

You will work closely with project and construction leadership as well as contractors, engineering partners and OEMs, driving progress from design requirements to documentation, testing and commissioning readiness.

Job DescriptionLead mechanical and piping discipline activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, technical standards and project requirements

Coordinate with project and construction management to integrate discipline scope into the overall schedule and delivery plan

Oversee contractors and suppliers, monitor progress, and enforce quality and safety standards

Track discipline-related progress, costs and resources; provide clear status reporting and escalations when needed

Identify technical risks and drive mitigation plans with relevant stakeholders

Review, approve and manage discipline deliverables, ensuring documentation, testing and commissioning readiness

Provide technical input to procurement activities and contract negotiations; assess and implement approved change requests

Apply lessons learned and continuous improvement practices to strengthen delivery efficiency and reduce risk

Drive adherence to design-to-cost targets and adjust activities to meet financial and schedule objectives

RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline

Minimum 5 years' experience in design, construction and installation of mechanical and piping systems on industrial projects (e.g., water treatment, wastewater, fire building, compressed air systems)

Proven experience managing contractors and suppliers and delivering discipline scope on time and within budget

Strong knowledge of piping systems, materials, mechanical installation practices, and relevant industry regulations and standards

Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills

Experience with change control, cost monitoring and technical documentation management

Nice to haveExperience from Balance of Plant projects or heavy industrial construction environments

Familiarity with commissioning and startup of piping systems and mechanical equipment

Experience supporting procurement technical evaluations and contract negotiations

Knowledge of design-to-cost methodologies and continuous improvement frameworks
