As we introduce our first battery electric rig, we are looking for a pioneering System Verification Engineer to join our Surface Division. This is a unique opportunity to be the cornerstone of a new test validation function-your expertise will directly impact the success of our electrification journey.
Your Mission
In this pivotal role, you will take ownership of developing comprehensive test specifications for our innovative battery electric drive systems. You'll be hands-on, planning and executing real-world tests on our machines to ensure every aspect is thoroughly validated. Your analytical skills will come into play as you collect results, craft detailed test reports, and evaluate outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
With a strong focus on software-related challenges, you'll diagnose and resolve issues, collaborating closely with engineering, service, production, powertrain design teamsand suppliers.As the initial subject matter expert, you'll have the autonomy to shape our verification processes while working alongside a diverse group of stakeholders, making a direct impact on Epiroc's electrification journey.
Your profile
To thrive in this role, you bring a senior-level background in system verification, ideally gained within electric drive systems, battery technology, or similarly complex electromechanical environments. You are comfortable navigating both software and hardware domains, and you're eager to apply your expertise in a hands-on, innovative setting.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- A strong foundation in both software and hardware-whether you're an electrical, mechanical or software engineer as base.
- Deep understanding of CAN systems (Controller Area Network), with practical experience using tools such as CANalyzer.
- Proven ability to independently plan and execute complex test programsfrom start to finish.
- Excellent skills in data analysis, specification writing, and methodical problem-solving.
- The confidence to work autonomously as the initial subject matter expert, while also engaging effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Fluency in English
